IAS Mains 2014 Result

UPSC IAS Main Examination Result 2014 is expected by the end of January or mid of February 2015, tallying the date of publication of results for the years before. Popularly considered as one of the toughest competitive examination, UPSC IAS Main exam was held in December 2014. The IAS Main 2014 result will contains roll number of all the candidates who will pass the UPSC IAS Main exam. The results of this exam will be declared on the Commission’s website.

  • The candidate should log on to the official website of the UPSC to check their results online. 
  • Find the link of the IAS MAIN exam from the homepage of the website. 
  • Open the results available in the form of PDF. 
  • Download the PDF and save it for further correspondence.
 
In  IAS MAIN 2014 Result, the UPSC board will publish the list of qualified candidates who will be called for the Personality test for selection in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Group A and B central services. This personality test is conducted to judge the mental caliber of the candidate. So, there will be very tough competition in the interview as always the case.

The candidate needs to be ready for the upcoming challenges and should think about the questions having relation with the current affairs.  These personality tests are likely to be held in March - April 2015 at UPSC office in Delhi. Candidates who will be shortlisted for the personality tests must carry original copy of their academic certificates, proof of age and other mandatory certificates. The date and time of the personality test of qualified candidates will be displayed on the official website. The candidate who do not receive any communication regarding Personality test should immediately contact the office of the Commission.

The Personality test will carry 275 marks. Thus, the total marks obtained by the candidate (in the MAIN written examination as well as in the interview) would determine their final marking. The mark sheet of the candidates who have not qualified their tests will be displayed on the commission’s website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result. The qualified candidates will be posted to various services according to their ranks in the examination and preferences expressed by them.
